Pick Two To Start Your Franchise: Chiefs Edition

As I said on Friday, Chris is in town this weekend for a wedding. We both just got done with the ceremony and he's off drinking taking photos with the rest of the wedding party.

With my short little break here, and in honor of two people joining together -- forever -- I wanted to propose a question.

You're starting a franchise. You can pick two players from the Chiefs that will join your franchise.

Who's it going to be?

Mine would be Brandon Flowers and Brandon Albert.

Choosing Flowers is a no-brainer. He plays a premier position at a high-level at a time when the NFL is transitioning into a full-fledged air-it-out game. Frankly, I'd be surprised if every one of these lists didn't start with Flowers.

My second one might be somewhat of a surprise but it shouldn't be. Premier left tackles don't come along very often -- and I'm not saying Albert is premier -- but he's demonstrated (in his rookie year) that he can play at a high-level. I don't know what happened last year that his play dipped but he can be good when placed into the right position.

So, my two choices are arguably the two most important positions on the field outside of quarterback.

Which two players are you starting your franchise with?
