I'm sure you've heard and read the hubbub about the NFL looking into moving to an 18-game schedule. Both sides have good arguments for why or why it shouldn't happen.
The NFLPA offered up a few concerns regarding the safety factor and compensation. Chiefs LB Demorrio Williams recently said on 993 Sports that it wouldn't bother him.
It doesn’t bother me. I’m a veteran now, and I know how to take care of my body for the season. During the preseason, the veterans don’t get to play that much anyway. The main thing that matters is we’re still playing football, and still getting paid.
The NFLPA didn't dismiss the idea but did have more reservations about it than the league.
I imagine most of the players wouldn't care as long as they were compensated for it. I think most players are interested in making more money (as are the owners).
