Devard Darling was a Chief last season but you may not have known it. That's because Darling started and ended the year on injured reserve after tearing an ACL in a preseason game against the Seahawks. He was released following the season.
A few weeks ago, he was one of a few former Chiefs drafted into the UFL. That apparently came as a surprise to him, according to the Bahama Journal.
Immediately after it was reported that he had been drafted in the UFL Darling through his public relations officer Amy Malone released a statement that quoted him as saying, "I have received medical clearance from my doctor’s and look forward to joining an NFL team in the near future. I have worked hard over the past few months rehabbing my torn ACL and conditioning myself to return to the NFL stronger, quicker, and more determined than ever to make an impact on the field. I have great respect for the UFL; however I will not be signing with one of their teams."
Now that the UFL is out of the way, he's looking at NFL teams. He tells the Bahama Journal that the Seahawks, Rams and Bears are showing interest.
Oh, and, so are the Raiders. Will Darling go from the good guys to the dark side?
