Chiefs Are One Of 14 Teams Yet To Sign A Draft pick

Ah, it's that time of year when I get to introduce to you one of my favorite pages: The rookie signing tracker from Mac's Football Blog.

According to the statistics compiled by Brian McIntyre, the Chiefs are one of 14 teams yet to sign a draft pick.

I received an email this morning asking me if it's strange that the Chiefs haven't signed anyone yet. No, it is not strange and here's the evidence to back it up.

Mr. Irrelevant Ryan Succop was the first one to sign last year on June 18th so I imagine we'll get a couple of those fifth rounders locked up here shortly.

The Chiefs on Monday released six players which freed up roster spots to begin signing draft picks. Currently, they have 73 guys under contract on the roster. There are seven draft picks and Jarrad Page that have yet to sign so if Page eventually gets on board there will have to be another move made because the Chiefs can have 80 roster spots at this point in the season.

Stay tuned for some signings that should be rolling in soon.
