Chiefs First Team Defense Gets A Shake-Up At Day One Of Mandatory Minicamp

The Chiefs first team defense got switched up a little bit on Friday as they opened the first day of mandatory minicamp.

Bob Gretz of BobGretz.com reports all players under contract were in attendance. Jarrad Page -- unsigned tender -- was not there.

It's just June but here are two positions that were different from OTAs earlier in the week:

Safety: Jon McGraw and Eric Berry

This week rookie Kendrick Lewis had been running with Berry in place of McGraw. There's no indication yet who the early leader is for that spot but on Friday morning it was McGaw and Berry.

Inside linebacker: Demorrio Williams and Corey Mays

Much to the delight of Chiefs fans, Derrick Johnson and Jovan Belcher had been running with the first team in practice the last couple weeks. Not this morning as Williams and Mays took over first team duties.

Bob Gretz of BobGretz.com has the full report.
