John Henderson Decision Coming Today

John Henderson, perhaps the best remaining free agent, is expected to make a decision today on his next team, Len Pasquarelli of ESPN.com reports. Henderson has narrowed his list of suitors.

The Chiefs were the first team to have reported interest along with the Giants, Falcons and Browns. Along the way, we found out that the Chiefs may not have actually had any interest in him.

Either way, we'll find out apparently by the end of the day if the Chiefs have enough interest to sign him.

For those of you who don't religiously follow AP, (shame on you, by the way) here's a rundown on the "John Henderson Situation":

Just after the draft, it was reported that John Henderson was visiting the Chiefs. 610 Sports' Nick Wright got John Henderson on the air the day of that report and he confirmed his visit to Kansas City. A day later and word comes out that he and the Chiefs are actually not meeting.  A day went by with no news and then two different reports that the Henderson visit was canceled.

Some wondered if Henderson's appearance on 610 Sports talking about his visit got him in trouble with the Chiefs brass. That wasn't the case.

As of the middle of May, league insiders considered him the top remaining free agent.
