So what does Dexter McCluster's hometown think of his accomplishments after attending Largo High School?
Well, they kind of think he's a badass, to put it simply. That's the only way to explain Tuesday's developments in which McCluster returned to Largo, FL, and received a key to the city.
The keys, or rather, a decorative plaque with a beefy, ornate key affixed to it, was presented to McCluster by Mayor Patricia Gerard, with a full house watching from the City Commission chamber.
The usually polite and quiet room was filled with raucous applause when the key was handed over.
Dominick Tao of the St. Petersburg Times reports McCluster said, "I'll cherish it until the day I die."
