On Sunday, Chiefs coach Todd Haley said the team could sign "maybe" two or three tryout players from last weekend's rookie minicamp.
According to Eric Hansen of the South Bend Tribune, they've signed one.
"As expected former Notre Dame wide receiver David Grimes parlays a tryout with KC Chiefs into a free agent contract," Hansen writes.
Grimes was one of my guesses to receive a free agent contract with the team. He knows the offense and during training camp can be a filler at a position that requires quite a bit of running.
It'll be up to him to make the roster during training camp. History says there's not a great chance of that happening.
Update: The Chiefs announced the move.
