Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley was on Sirius NFL Radio with Adam Schein and Rich Gannon a few days ago, talking about the off season, Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel and Thomas Jones.
When asked about how the off season was going, Haley said, "It's going really well. I'm really excited about where we are right now. We've had a really tremendous off season to this point."
"I wish they could spot us four wins for having the best off season."
More after the jump...
Haley continued when asked more about the off season. "We've had tremendous attendance. Everyone's been here, lifting, running, working and now we get to get into some football."
"It's going exactly how I'd like it to be going right now."
Naturally, Haley thinks that the additions of Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel. He said, "Coaching staff-wise, for the way things have fallen into place, it's been a seamless transition on both sides. It feels good. It feels right."
Finally, Haley was asked about Thomas Jones and he of course had great things to say.
Haley said, "He's something. I'm really excited about having him on the team. I spend a lot of time in the weight room this time of year and he's the alpha dog now. He's lifting, working, pushing. He's in the middle of every break. He's as advertised."
Haley went on to talk a little bit about Matt Cassel and the rookies but nothing too ground breaking was said. Check out the whole interview here.
