Former Chiefs QB Trent Green Considered Bears Offer To Play

Former Chiefs QB Trent Green was contacted by the Bears "three or four weeks ago" about possibly playing again. The connection is Mike Martz, who was the offensive coordinator of the Rams while Green was there.

According to Green, he thought about it. For a moment.

"I chewed on it for a couple of weeks," Green said. "I sat down with my family to decide where we wanted to live. We ended up coming to Kansas City.

"You get to a certain point where you just have to make a decision one way or the other. For me, I needed to move on to the next phase, and that was to continue my TV career. I told them thanks for considering me in the mix, but I'm gonna continue to pursue the TV thing."

So Trent is not retiring coming out of retirement. He's not playing for the Bears.

But he is calling the Chiefs preseason games.
