Once again, the Kansas City Chiefs had perfect attendance at OTAs. The lone missing player was S Jarrad Page who isn't under contract yet (hasn't signed his tender). That's 85 players under contract and 85 players participating in OTAs.
This is also the first practice with something resembling Kansas City humidity. If you know me personally, then you know I hate weather like this. Just hate it. All the humidity, the sweating. The Chiefs offense, according to Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com, needed a little time to get used to the weather. As it usually is at these things, the defense started off well and the offense had to catch up.
The same six players that were held out of the last OTA on Wednesday were also held out today.
One weird note: The Chiefs defensive linemen were working with a martial arts expert today. Looney reports Grandmaster Joseph E. Kim was on the field. He's a "pass rush specialist" for the Chiefs. Here's a little more info on him (and Josh will have more in the morning).
(Update: And of course a loyal Arrowhead Pride reader found out Kim was in town over two months ago.)
There was also another interesting note on the safeties other than Eric Berry lining up with the first team. Donald Washington, the cornerback drafted by the Chiefs in 2009, lined up at safety. He was seeing safety reps at the end of last season so it's possible the Chiefs are thinking of moving him around a little more.
