Good morning, and happy Monday. We are just 7 days away from rookies and vets working together. I know it hasn't begun yet, because there's next to nothing on the news front (again). We do have an update on a team that was reportedly interested in Henderson, and a former Chief is running for political office.

It has been a mad scramble over the weekend as we celebrated the graduation of our youngest with her Masters of Science in Speech Pathology from the University of Tulsa. As a parent, you always hope your children are smarter than you; that was not too hard for Liz, but she went above and beyond to get it done. Congratulations sweetie!

One thing I can say for McDaniels is that he knows how to create a very competitive environment. Each and every player on the team knows that if they don't show up on time, work their butts off and play up to expectations they may be the next to be traded away. It doesn't matter who you are to McDaniels. Marshall showed up late for a physical therapy session so McDaniels held him out of the last game of the 2009 season. I am sure there were other reasons as well but if Denver would have beaten the Kansas City Chiefs that game, they may have made the playoffs.
