Chiefs Rookies Get Their First Two-A-Day

The Chiefs rookies are gearing up for practice No. 2 this afternoon. The morning session was indoors because of the weather but the afternoon will be outdoors.

I'll have a recap of the afternoon portion we're allowed to view a little later this afternoon.

For now, here are a few tidbits from the players media session. We heard from Dexter McCluster, Tony Moeaki, Eric Berry and Javier Arenas.

Berry's Camaro on its way

A few weeks back I pointed out that the first thing Eric Berry said he would be buying with his money is the new Camaro.

And after that we found out that his "new Camaro" isn't what you think.

Nevertheless, said this afternoon that the Camaro is being customized now and will soon be on its way.

McCluster is a performer

In light of the Dez Bryant/Jeff Ireland controversy, McCluster was asked if there were any teams during the pre-draft visits that asked him a question that was inappropriate or funny.

McCluster: "Nothing inappropriate," he said. "One funny instance was a coach asked me to sing for me because he knows my singing background."

Reporter: Can you sing for us?

(Looks at Chiefs PR wondering if he should sing. Laughter in the room.)

Reporter: Have you sung for the Chiefs yet?

McCluster: "No, I haven't."

New TE Tony Moeaki on Tony Gonzalez:

"I'm just trying to make the team," he said. "He has a billion catches and I have zero."
