Much to the delight of Mizzou fans across the state, we passed along a report last week that LB Sean Weatherspoon visited the Chiefs. Since we're fair and balanced around here, we figured we oughta pass along a Kansas-based report (via Arrowheadlines).
According to Joe Fortenbaugh of National Football Post, the Chiefs have worked out KU WR Dezmon Briscoe.
Since he's a local guy -- the KU campus is about 45 minutes from Arrowhead -- Chiefs scouts have seen him play plenty of times.
Briscoe has good size at 6'2" and 207 pounds. He's also got something else the Chiefs like -- lots of production.
Over the last two seasons he's caught 176 passes for 2,744 yards and 24 touchdowns. Not bad, huh?
He looked solid in his positional drills at KU's pro day and ran the forty yard dash in the 4.5 range.
He's also being worked out by the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Briscoe is projected as a mid-round pick.
