It's been nearly a week since the 2010 NFL draft ended. All the high-profile undrafted free agents have signed with a team.
All but one that is.
Mizzou WR Danario Alexander, the nation's leading receiver in 2009, has still not found a team.
The reason?
His knees. Alexander had three surgeries to correct an ACL. He was projected to be drafted until he hurt his knee at the Senior Bowl, which required another surgery.
There's no doubt the kid is incredibly talented. He's got NFL size and had demonstrated his skill with an outrageous amount of production.
But if you've had at least four knee surgeries in college, why would that get any better in the pros when you're playing more often and against bigger and stronger players?
He's talented as hell but the fact that he can't pass a physical right now may doom him.
The Chiefs could always use more receivers so Alexander has likely already been considered. And passed on.
