Chiefs Rookies Coming To Kansas City This Weekend

The Chiefs rookies are coming into Kansas City this weekend. Most (if not all) will arrive by tomorrow for the start of rookie camp on Friday.

The Chiefs rookie camp -- which includes all the rookies (7), undrafted free agents (11) and other tryout players -- will run from Friday to Sunday.

The Chiefs held their rookie camp from May 8-10 last year so it looks like they're trying to get to these guys a little earlier.

At the camp last year, we heard from Chiefs coach Todd Haley every day so I suspect we'll see something similar this year. This will also be the first time (outside of the introductory conference call) that we hear from the Chiefs rookies.

Our usual sources of news -- Bob Gretz of BobGretz.com, Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com and the Kansas City Star -- should be there.

The Chiefs will also hold their veteran mandatory minicamp on June 11-13, which is around the same time as last year. The talk of the town last year was whether Brian Waters and/or Mike Vrabel would show up.

None of these are public. You'll have to wait until training camp for that.
