At Least One Team Has Inquired About The Chiefs Fifth Pick

Yesterday Patriots coach Bill Belichick said he's already received some calls regarding their picks in the 2010 NFL Draft. That's not unusual for this time year because teams want an idea of how a particular team is valuing a particular pick going into the draft.

The same thing is happening with the Chiefsas evidenced by the Browns GM Tom Heckert words today, via the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.

Heckert said he's talked to all of the teams ahead of the Browns at No. 7 and teams behind them about possible trades.

The Browns are drafting seventh so that includes the Chiefs.

Keep in mind there's a big difference between "talked to" and offering a trade.

It's common for teams to be calling all around at this time of year to understand what it would take to trade up or down in the instance that situation comes up.

That said, it'd be hard for me to envision a scenario in which the Browns would want to hop up to the fifth pick.
