The deadline for teams to sign restricted free agents to an offer sheet is at the close of business today. At this point, it doesn't appear any of the Chiefs will receive offers.
Here's thefull list of Chiefs who were offered tenders:
First round level - LB Derrick Johnson ($2.621 million)
Second round level - QB Brodie Croyle ($1.759 million), LB Corey Mays ($1.759 million), G Ikechuku Ndukwe ($1.684 million), C Rudy Niswanger ($1.759 million), RT Ryan O'Callaghan ($1.759 million), S Jarrad Page ($1.759 million)
Four Five of those players have yet to sign their tenders, according to Bob Gretz of BobGretz.com. Those players include Page, Croyle, Mays, Niswanger and O'Callaghan.
After today, they lose their negotiating rights with other teams. Basically, this means another team can't step in and sign, say Croyle, to an offer sheet and relinquish a second round pick should the Chiefs not match.
After today, they can either sign their tender and play at that salary or negotiate a new contract.
[Editor's Note: A previous version of this story indicated that Jarrad Page has signed his tender. That is not the case.]
