We've got some big AFC West news for you this morning. The Denver Broncos have traded their star wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the Miami Dolphins (H/T to Matt Conner for the first FanShot). Via PFT:
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Marshall has been shipped to the Dolphins for a second-round pick in the 2010 draft and "what is thought to be" a second-round selection in 2011. The deal hinges on Marshall passing a physical.
This is great news for the Chiefs, who won't have to face Marshall and his 100+ receptions each year. Marshall had 102, 104 and 101 catches from 2007 to 2009.
Kansas City Chiefs CB Brandon Flowers reportedly had this to say about Marshall a little while back: "Brandon Marshall is a defensive lineman playing wide receiver. He wants to inflict punishment on you. He wants you to try to tackle him so he can shove you off of him and get more yards."
If you're a non-Bronco fan in the AFC West, you gotta love this.
