Chiefs Will Meet With Rolando McClain In Alabama On April 10th

You know this guy by now. He's my projection as the Chiefs fifth overall pick and generally considered the No. 1 middle linebacker in the draft.

And the Chiefs will work him out.

According to Chris Steuber of Scout.com, reps from the Chiefs will fly (or drive I suppose) down to Tuscaloosa, AL on April 10th for a private workout with LB Rolando McClain.

The Chiefs aren't the only visitors he'll have before the draft. We told you yesterday that McClain will meet with the Jaguars, Falcons and Giants. He met with the Dolphins this week.

The last time we heard from McClain was at the Alabama Pro Day on March 10th when Chiefs reps were having dinner with him the night before.

I'll have a good rundown tomorrow on McClain's game courtesy of former NFL scout (with Romeo Crennel in Cleveland) Daniel Jeremiah.

Since the Chiefs are going down to Alabama to see him, this doesn't count as one of their 30 official pre-draft visits. I imagine if he's in the mix for the fifth pick they'll bring him into Kansas City so team doctors can get a good look at him, especially after his disclosure that he has Crohn's disease.
