Chiefs On Hand At Northwest Missouri State Pro Day

The Kansas City Chiefs are on hand at the Northwest Missouri State Pro Day this afternoon, according to the University's official Twitter feed.

Admittedly, I'm not knowledgeable in the least bit about NWMS football (but I appear on a radio show in Maryville! That counts, right?)

Per NFL Draft Scout, there are two prospects that are likely to receive interest in the NFL -- SS Myles Burnsides and RB LaRon Council.

NWMS is D-II but Burnsides appears to have had a heck of a career. He's a two-time All American (for the non-D-I schools) and a two-time Academic All American as well as the 2008 national defensive player of the year. He holds the school record for tackles by a defensive back and is 8th overall. His 16 career interceptions are third most in NWMS history.

He's 5'11", 195 pounds.

Council was the 8th leading rusher in the country with 1,202 yards and a 5.7 yards per carry average. He was also selected to the 2009 All-MIAA team.

He's 5'10", 210 pounds.

Don't discount these small schools. The team that NWMS beat in the National Championship this year? Grand Valley State, home of Chiefs two-year starting corner Brandon Carr.

You Bearcats out there let us know who we're missing.
