Chiefs Continue Interest In Ohio State Safety

The Kansas City Chiefs met with Ohio State Kurt Coleman at the Senior Bowl suggesting they have some interest in the safety. Coleman has the Chiefs profile of a versatile player telling folks that he hopes to prove he can play both safety and corner in the NFL.

Coleman told the Dayton Daily News that the Chiefs were one of a few teams showing "more than a passing interest" in him.

Others include the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Browns Cincinnati Bengals (both local teams to Ohio State) as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Coleman measured in at 5'10" and 192 pounds at the Combine and repped 225 pounds 19 times on the bench press. He runs the 40 in the 4.5 range.

NFL Draft Scout has him rated as the sixth best strong safety in the draft and projects him on the high end to go in the third-fourth round and on the low end the sixth-seventh round.
