Report: Chiefs Targeting Vikings RB Chester Taylor In Free Agency

The National Football Post is once again coming through with some information on the Kansas City Chiefs. According to Aaron Wilson of NFP, the Chiefs are expected to target Minnesota Vikings running back and soon-to-be free agent Chester Taylor in free agency.

National Football Post has learned that Taylor is also a target for the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, New York GiantsChicago Bears and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Vikings remain interested in re-signing Taylor with no deal imminent at this point as he's poised to hit the open market.

NFP also reports the Detroit Lions and Houston Texans are expected to make a strong run at him.

In a watered-down free agency period, Taylor is quickly becoming one of the crown jewels.

With Darren Sproles off the market, Taylor may be looking at a big payday, which if you ask me (speculatively of course) likely rules out the Chiefs. The Chiefs learned their lesson signing running backs to big money deals.

As a 29 year old running back, this is Taylor's last big contract and it's an uncapped year and he's the best available free agent running....I don't think the Chiefs will or should go there.
