The Kansas City Chiefs have tendered LB Derrick Johnson at a first round pick, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Johnson made $2.25 million last year, so his tender number will be 110 percent of that amount.
Per RFA rules, the tender must be at least 110% of the 2009 salary.
This is not the highest possible tender so, as I suggested yesterday, it's possible this is a sign the Chiefs would be willing to listen to offers for him.

The Chiefs should be announcing more tenders soon.
