Chiefs Show Interest In A Defensive End And A Receiver At NFL Combine

We've got two more names to add to our draft interests chart today thanks to a report from Ed Thompson of Scout.com. The Kansas City Chiefs expressed interest in a player from Florida and one from Citadel.

The Chiefs held formal interviews with each at the NFL Combine.

More, after the jump.

WR Andre Roberts out of Citadel is short but also quick running the 40 yard dash in the 4.4s. He measures in at 5'11", 195 pounds and could also be available to return kicks.

Last year he caught 77 passes for 792 yards and eight touchdowns last year. He averaged 15.5 yards per punt return and 22.0 yards on the three kickoffs that he returned.

He anticipates being a slot receiver in the NFL.

He's expected to go in the 3rd-4th round.

Also expressing interest in him at the NFL Combine was Indianapolis Colts, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears

Jermaine Cunningham played defensive end at the University of Florida but could project to an outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense. Cunningham, 6'3", 252 pounds, had a long list of teams requesting interviews with him at the Combine: Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts, Detroit Lions, San Diego Chargers, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, Oakland Raiders, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Chiefs were among those teams.

I count 7 of those 10 teams running a 3-4 so obviously the Chiefs aren't the only ones who thinks he can make the transition.

He's expected to be a third round pick.
