Tennessee DT Dan Williams On The Chiefs Radar

Tennessee defensive tackle Dan Williams is one of the few players that are considered a candidate to be a nose tackle in a 3-4 defense.

At the NFL Combine, he interviewed with the Chiefsincluding defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel. He called that interview one of his "memorable" ones, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.

"I think I fit in with both [3-4 and 4-3] defenses,"Williams siad. "I played both when I was in school. I enjoy playing a three-technique or a nose or a one-technique defensive tackle. I just want to play football. It doesn't matter what kind of scheme a team runs. I just want to play the game."

He's 6'4" and 329 pounds so the size appears to be there.

He's setting up visits this week and, while the Chiefs haven't been reported as one of them yet, his list is heavy on 3-4 teams.

He's meeting with the Chargers today and the Patriots later this week.

Will the Chiefs get a closer look at him? My guess would be yes.
