University of Central Florida defensive tackle Torell Troup is an intriguing name in the 2010 NFL draft because he's got the size (6'3", 314 pounds) to potentially play nose tackle, which happens to be a perceived position of need for the Chiefs.
Chiefs defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel took a trip down to UCF to put Troup through a workout last Monday, according to Dayton Daily News.
The next day? Bill Belichick came to do the same.
We've often talked about the similarities between the prospects the Chiefs and Patriots are looking for.
His visit list isn't stopping there.
Another 3-4 team, the Broncos, will work him out this week. Add the Saints, Vikings and Lions as well.
Crennel may be a bit more familiar with Troup than others because he coached him in the East-West Shrine game.
Troup is projected to be a third round pick by NFL Draft Scout but as we've learned these defensive tackles can easily go much higher than expected.
