Good news this morning on the Chiefs injury front. TE Brad Cottam wrote on his Facebook wall that he's been cleared to take off his neck brace.
If you'll recall, late in the season, Cottam came down funny on his neck after catching a career high four balls for 62 yards.
After the game, the Chiefs placed him on IR and Kent Babb of the Kansas City Star reported it was a cracked cervical vertebrae. There was no spinal cord damage and he had full movement in his extremities.
He went into surgery several days later and came out fine.
Back in January was the last time we heard from him. He said he was planning on getting the neck brace off in two months.
Two months later and it's coming off.
