The Kansas City Chiefs are bringing in Cincinnati QB Tony Pike for a visit prior to the April NFL draft. However, they're not stopping there when looking at quarterbacks.
Charlie Weis is at the Central Michigan pro day today watching QB Dan LeFevour throw.
LeFevour is an intriguing quarterback prospect in this draft.
He's got the size Weis and the Chiefs apparently like -- 6'3" and 230 pounds -- and he has plenty of game tape. AP's Matt Conner caught LeFevour press conference at the NFL Combine last month and here's what Matt had to say:
In his career, he's passed for nearly 13,000 yards, rushed for around 3,000 and is responsible for 150 touchdowns total (passing and rushing). He produces, plain and simple, and the Chiefs would do well to grab the talented QB if he's available at the right time.
Weis has been on the scouting trail looking at all kinds of players, including quarterbacks. It would be right up Scott Pioli's alley to drop a fifth or sixth rounder on a quarterback.
LeFevour is projected to go in the mid-rounds.
