Chiefs Holding A Private Workout For Arizona State RB Dimitri Nance

The Kansas City Chiefs appear to be set at running back for the 2010 season. But the Chiefs also realize Thomas Jones isn't going to be around forever and it's always good to have some insurance for the future.

That's why it's not too much of a surprise to hear Chris Steuber of Scout.com report the Chiefs are hosting a private workout for running back Dimitri Nance.

Nance, out of Arizona State, will meet the Chiefs two days before the April 15th tax deadline (and when Ms. Primetime sees the daylight again).

They will also meet with him on March 24th before his March 26th pro day.

He comes in at 5'10" and 224 pounds, which is interesting because that's pretty much the exact same weight as Chiefs 2009 draft selection Javarris Williams coming into the league.

He played in the East-West Shrine game so Chiefs defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel has seen him.

Nance is projected to go in the late rounds, if drafted at all. The Chiefs definitely aren't leaving any stone unturned. There's been quite a few players they've been linked to.
