The Kansas City Chiefs have been facing a decision with Mike Vrabel, who is scheduled to be an unrestricted agent on March 5th. The Chiefs gave up a second round pick for him and Matt Cassel so you'd think they'd like to see him for more than one year. Plus they gave him over $4 million in salary last season.
He fits the mold of the type of player GM Scott Pioli is looking for.
According to Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald, Vrabel says the Chiefs are his "first choice" when it comes to picking a team next season.
However, he also wouldn't rule out a return to New England but isn't sure if Bill Belichick would want him back.
"I'd go back in a heart beat. Why wouldn't I? Put it this way, I'd go back, but I highly doubt they'd want me back."
Vrabel, 34, has previously expressed a desire to work something out with the Chiefs and, in his words, finish what he started.
