Lions Are "Actively Shopping" No. 2 Overall Pick In NFL Draft

We've already heard a rumor between the team picking first and third (and a denial of that rumor), now we've caught word that the team picking second is also looking to make a trade.

According to NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora, the Detroit Lions are "actively shopping" the second overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Per LaCanfora, the Lions are "not averse to taking the top player on their board" -- likely DTs Ndamukong Suh or Gerald McCoy -- but will "explore all options" regarding a trade.

A team that is looking to trade into the second part undoubtedly has their eye on one of the top two defensive tackles who are rated as by far the best in class. The Rams may take a quarterback and the Redskins may take one as well so there's another reason for someone to trade up into that spot.

I'd be curious to see if the Lions find a trading partner because it could heavily impact the Chiefs decision making in the draft. We're expecting both Suh and McCoy to be off the board so a trade that involved picking one of those two likely wouldn't change things.
