As you know, the Kansas City Chiefs are moving training camp to Missouri Western in St. Joe, Missouri this July and August. As part of the deal, the Chiefs are building a training facility that immediately puts Western towards the top of the country in football facilities.
Evan Brown, senior from Kansas City's St. Joe's Central High School, signed a letter of intent for Western on Thursday and credited the Chiefs as part of his decision, Andrew DeWitt of the St. Joe News reports.
When looking at offers, Brown said one of the main factors in his decision was the brand new practice facility that is being built to house the Kansas City Chiefs training camp.
This is how big of a deal training camp is for Missouri Western and St. Joe. Not only the economic impact (which will be significant) but the school is getting a state-of-the-art training facility out of the deal which in turn can attract more athletes.
Not bad, huh?
