Is Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles Among The Best Values In The NFL?

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles is working on a three year, $1.76 million contract, which paid him $385,000 in 2009. That number "jumps" to $470,000 in 2010 yet he was among the league's most productive players for half the season.

That said, he is not yet considered as a top ten value in the NFL, according to Football Outsiders, who ranked the top ten players heavily weighted for salary and age.

New York Jets CB Darrelle Revis tops the list and Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning follows him.

We looked at the best values along the Chiefs offensive line --considering games started, age and salary -- and Wade Smith topped our list.

Next season, when Charles will be "the man" all year, I suspect he will have a strong chance to make this list.
