The Kansas City Chiefs look forward to the San Diego Chargers game in Week 14 with a couple of injury questions on their mind including the status of CB Brandon Flowers, who had a hamstring injury entering Week 13 and came out multiple times Sunday for what he said were cramps. We're not sure what's up with him and we don't think there are any other significant injuries to report.
San Diego, on the other hand, have a few injury questions to be answered.
First is RB Darren Sproles was hit very hard by Oakland Raiders LB Rolando McClain and currently has a headache, according to Chargers head coach Norv Turner. Missing him on Sunday would take one more weapon out of the Chargers offense but Turner is optimistic he'll be ready to play.
Second is WR Vincent Jackson who, as of last week, was not expected to face the Chiefs. Turner tells reporters on Monday that it's soon to know if he'll be available. Though he hasn't played (more than a few plays) this year, the Chiefs would probably prefer not to face Jackson.
Third is WR Legedu Naanee who appears to be doubtful for Sunday's game, according to the San Diego Union Tribune. You'll remember he was the one that caught that 59-yard touchdown pass in the first meeting between these teams.
Then there's TE Antonio Gates who is playing with a foot injury that is reportedly very painful. He's been playing with it so we'll expect him on Sunday but the way he's talking there may be some question on his availability.
