Good news, bad news and surprising news for the Kansas City Chiefs inactives.
Here's the full list of inactives: S Kendrick Lewis, CB Mike Richardson, CB Jackie Bates, FB Tim Castille, LB Charlie Anderson, C Rudy Niswanger, WR Chris Chambers and NT Anthony Toribio.
Good news: Brandon Flowers is active despite being expected to sit today. We'll see if he plays. Remember, as we found out with LT Branden Albert last week, just because you're active doesn't mean you'll play.
Bad news: Kendrick Lewis is out. The stat: 7-1 with Lewis and 0-3 without him. He missed the last Broncos game, too. This one hurts, but Jon McGraw is back.
Surprising news: Chris Chambers is inactive. Perhaps this in response to WR Dexter McCluster becoming active for the first time in five weeks. Chambers has been a healthy scratch before.
Other inactive notes: Richardson was signed just this week, maybe in case Flowers couldn't go and they needed some re-arranging. Bates was ruled out earlier this week. Castille and FB Mike Cox have switched spots throughout the season.
