Kansas City Chiefs Bring Back LB Justin Cole

Earlier this week the Kansas City Chiefs released LB Justin Cole to make room for the (re-)arrival of CB Mike Richardson. The move was made likely because of injuries to a couple of cornerbacks including CB Jackie Bates, who has not participated in practice this week and CB Brandon Flowers, who has been limited this week after missing last week's game.

Now Justin Cole is returning to the Chiefs -- on the practice squad. To make room for Cole, the Chiefs released Eric Bakhtiari from the practice squad. The Chiefs had added him to the practice squad on Nov. 18.

Cole's placement on the practice squad seems to make more sense considering he was not active in any of the Chiefs games to this point. If he's not going to be on the game day roster, then why take up a spot on the 53-man roster?

Cole is an undrafted free agent and has been with the Chiefs since the summer.

Here's the Chiefs current practice squad, including Cole: DE/DT Dion Gales, T Bobby Greenwood, G Darryl Harris, WR Jeremy Horne, WR Quinten Lawrence, QB Tyler Palko and LB Pierre Walters.
