Jets' Rex Ryan Doesn't Have Preference Of Colts Or Chiefs In AFC Wildcard

The Kansas City Chiefs will be the third or fourth seed heading into the NFL playoffs next week. If the Chiefs win, then they'll wrap up the third seed. If they lose and the Indianapolis Colts win, they'll be the fourth seed. Either way, someone is coming to Arrowhead Stadium on January 8 or 9.

The odds-on-favorite at this point is for that team to be the New York Jets (though plenty can change). The Jets will play the third or fourth seed in the opening round of the playoffs. Does Jets head coach Rex Ryan care whether it's the Chiefs or Colts?

"Even if I really did, I don’t know if I’d say it," he told reporters (via NY Daily News).

There is one player who doesn't sound too jazzed about the possibility of coming to Arrowhead. Trevor Pryce, who played for the Denver Broncos from 1997-2005, said Arrowhead is tougher to play in than Indy's Lucas Oil Dome.

"Peyton Manning, he's as good as there is," Pryce said on 1050 ESPN's "MacDonald and Tierney Show" Tuesday (via Newsday) "He's the best there ever was, him or Tom Brady. And when he starts losing receivers like Austin Collie and tight end Dallas Clark, who is all-world, he's replacing them.

"But you can only replace them so much. The Chiefs don't have that problem. And playing in Kansas City , I can tell you from firsthand experience, it's much tougher playing in Kansas City than playing in Indianapolis."

Wow. Can we find out the Chiefs playoff opponent soon enough and can January 8 or 9 get here soon enough?
