The Kansas City Chiefs put three players in the Pro Bowl -- WR Dwayne Bowe, RB Jamaal Charles and G Brian Waters. We've talked about a few players we thought should have made it as well and the most common names thrown out are LB Tamba Hali and CB Brandon Flowers.

Here's another one: LB Derrick Johnson.

We've mentioned him as a Pro Bowl snub and, according to Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com, there may be a good argument.

Derrick Johnson is an AFC Pro Bowl alternate...just doesn't know how far down the list.

As noted, we don't know how far down the list but it does open the door for a DJ Pro Bowl berth. Currently at inside linebacker is Ravens LB Ray Lewis and Patriots LB Jerod Mayo. Other candidates could include Steelers LB Lawrence Timmons and Jets LB Bart Scott.

If one of those players drops out, or is playing in the Super Bowl, then the next alternate will be up.
