As you all know by now the 2011 Pro Bowl rosters have been announced and there are three Kansas City Chiefs on the list -- WR Dwayne Bowe, RB Jamaal Charles and G Brian Waters. One name not on that list that many of us were hoping to see is QB Matt Cassel.

His stats say he should be in the conversation as an AFC QB at the 2011 Pro Bowl but when the list came out it was Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Philip Rivers on the list. We can go on and on all day about Cassel's stats matching up with some of those players but we'll focus on a solution instead.

How can Cassel still get into the Pro Bowl?

Perhaps as an alternate. With the Pro Bowl being played the week before the Super Bowl, teams involved in the big dance won't be sending their players. You think Brady and the Pats have a good shot of making it to the Super Bowl? Me too.

And as Clark Judge of CBS Sports points out, even if the Pats aren't in the Super Bowl, when was the last time Brady participated in a Pro Bowl? "He almost always is chosen and almost always finds an excuse not to go," Judge writes. "Guaranteed, he doesn't make it."

Would Cassel be the fourth quarterback? I would think so but someone like David Garrard or Matt Schaub could also come into play. We'll see if/when Brady bows out.
