The Kansas City Chiefs will be facing the Oakland Raiders in Week 17 in a game that, frankly, is a little strange. The Chiefs have wrapped up the division title so there's not much to play for in the big picture. But they haven't yet confirmed themselves as the third seed -- and not the fourth seed -- which they can do with a victory over the Raiders.
I'm sure those factors made it difficult to come up with a line for Sunday's Raiders-Chiefs game but the oddsmakers have done so anyway putting KC as a four point favorite (or 3.5 depending on where you look) in the game.
Todd Haley hasn't come out and definitively stated the Chiefs will be playing their starters the entire game but he's strongly suggested that's the case.
"There's all different things that are motivation but the number one thing for us, as our team and what we're trying to get done, is to finish this quarter strongly at home," Haley said Monday.
Four points sounds about right though. The Chiefs have enough reasons to stay motivated for this game -- 8-0 at home being one of them -- so I imagine they'll come out and play as if there was something more on the line.
