Todd Haley Says He's Enjoying The Chiefs Playoff Berth

The Kansas City Chiefs found out they were playoff bound about three hours after their victory over the Tennessee Titans. With the San Diego Chargers loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the late games, the Chiefs found out shortly after 6:00 p.m. (Arrowhead time) that they were headed to the playoffs.

So what did Chiefs coach Todd Haley do for the division-clinching moment?

"I was just at home," Haley told reporters on a conference call Sunday night after the Chiefs clinched the division. "This is my little time to have a little family time. I actually got to see a couple plays and the kids are going crazy. My wife's sister came into town with our niece so everybody was kind of going crazy around the house.

"When my phone started ringing, I knew good things were happening."

Good things indeed. Haley says he talked with both Scott Pioli and Clark Hunt and that they're both enjoying the win as well.

"We talked, of course, we talked. This is a big day for everybody involved with the Kansas City Chiefs. I talked to him and to Clark Hunt. Like I said, there's been a lot of people involved here that have gone through difficult times. When you do have one of those up, feel good days where it is actually a real good day you have to enjoy it.

"I know both those guys are for sure and everybody involved because that's our rule. You get to enjoy it for 24 hours."
