The Kansas City Chiefs avoid the blackout.

The team announced this evening that enough tickets have been sold to avoid a blackout and the game will be shown on local television.

December home games are always tough to sell because of the holidays and the weather but I don't think anyone expected a blackout scare when the team is sitting at 9-5.

Next up for the Chiefs -- beat the Titans and avoid more blackout talk for next week's game against Oakland.

(PS: You can still buy tickets to the game even though it's "sold out" at KCChiefs.com or Ticketmaster)
