The Kansas City Chiefs deserve to fall in the various NFL power rankings for Week 15 that we've compiled. They lost 31-0 to the San Diego Chargers and did basically nothing right. The Chiefs poor performance is reflected in this week's roundup of NFL power rankings.
Here they are:
SB Nation: 14 (11) - "The Chiefs are pretty easy to figure out. They generally beat the teams they should and lose to teams they should. Now, can they beat the Rams, Titans and Raiders to win the division?"
FOX Sports: 12 (10) - "The Chiefs might want to re-evaluate their backup quarterback job next season. Fifth-year QB Brodie Croyle is now 0-10 as a starter and has not proven to be a capable fill-in for starter Matt Cassel."
National Football Post: 14 (11) - "The Chiefs need Matt Cassel back under center if they want to prevent the AFC West title from slipping away."
FanHouse: 14 (11) - "Everyone in Kansas City, from player to coach to fan, saw what happens to the Chiefs when Matt Cassel doesn't play. They were beat down by San Diego and truly missed their quarterback. Cassel says he's going to prepare this week like he'll play on Sunday. But can he really recover that fast from an emergency appendectomy?"
Pro Football Weekly: 14 - "Brodie Croyle proved he should be a backup ... in the UFL."
Pro Football Talk: 16 (9) - "Under the classic definition of MVP, Matt Cassel has earned a few votes."
