We're about two weeks removed from Dwayne Bowe's incredible run where he caught 13 touchdown passes from Matt Cassel in seven weeks. We've now seen two sides to Bowe. There's the guy who was on the touchdown streak for half the year and the guy who's been somewhat invisible the other half of the games.
The streak: 49 receptions, 733 yards, 13 touchdowns.
Outside of the streak: 10 receptions, 155 yards, 1 touchdown
In the last two games Bowe has caught one pass for three yards. Champ Bailey keyed in on him in the Denver Broncos game and the Chiefs had no passing game against the San Diego Chargers. If you have Bowe on your fantasy team and you've been either trying to make the playoffs or in the playoffs the last two weeks, you've probably been disappointed.
So which Bowe is real? One of the knocks on him in the past has been consistency. This year, when he's been up, he's been one of the best in the NFL. When he's been down, he's invisible.
So what do we have here? The Chiefs (obviously) were at their best during Bowe's streak. Will we see again this year the Bowe from the touchdown streak? Or are we relegated to the one-catch-for-three-yards Bowe?
