Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel has missed one game in the 2010 season so far and we're still a couple of days from beginning to determine whether he'll miss another. The Chiefs will practice on Wednesday at which point they'll label Cassel as out of practice, limited in practice or a full practice participant (if he's on the injury report at all).
"Wednesday we'll know a lot more," Haley said on Monday (via KCChiefs.com). "Wednesday is the key day. We'll be a lot further along. I'll let you know at that point." Cassel said on 810 WHB Monday morning that he was "day-to-day" at this point.
After Sunday I think most of us agree we'd prefer to see Cassel in there rather than Brodie Croyle but Haley says he still has the "utmost confidence" in Croyle.
"Make no mistake," Haley said, "it was an 11-man offensive operation. It was not Brodie Croyle. That was not the difference. It didn't matter who was in there with how the 11-man operation went. The result was not going to be good." So, those questions about whether the Chiefs."
For those of you wondering if the Chiefs would have won with Cassel, there's your answer.
Looks like we'll be waiting another two days to begin determining Cassel's status and, even then, I imagine there will be plenty of questions remaining.
