Chiefs vs. Chargers: Five Pregame Predictions

We're back with our predictions for the Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Diego Chargers game. Unfortunately, you're going to be disappointed by a couple of my predictions but here they are anyway:

Chiefs lose the turnover battle. Things can't always go the Chiefs way. I see Brodie Croyle throwing an interception in this one because the Chargers have a solid pass rush and Croyle will get flustered. My guess is that the turnover battle is 1-0 Chargers.

Chiefs keep Philip Rivers in check. By "in check", I mean under 300 yards. I think the Chiefs defense keeps things in front of them, slow this game down and don't let Rivers go crazy.

Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones keep the Chiefs in the game. I think Croyle will do OK but this game is all about Charles and Jones. The Chiefs will be pounding the rock to the tune of 150 yards or more.

Brodie Croyle has one pass over 50 yards. Croyle's got a big arm so I think he makes the Chargers pay at least one time. With the Chargers likely focusing on the run, Croyle hits someone for a deep pass. Or perhaps a flea-flicker.

Chiefs lose the game. I'm sorry, Chiefs fans. I gotta pick against KC. The Chiefs have some things go right for them but ultimately it's not enough. Chargers win this one, 31-24.....please prove me wrong.
