It's officially official now. Matt Cassel is out on Sunday.
Late Saturday night Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com confirmed that Cassel is out and he remained in Kansas City while the team traveled to San Diego.
So it all comes down to Brodie Croyle. (It just doesn't feel right to have him starting without Damon Huard breathing down his neck.)
As far as backups go, Croyle's near the top of the league. Here's what you need to know about Croyle:
- 2006 third round pick
- 0-9 as a starter
- Last start vs. Ravens: 16-of-24, 177 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INT
- Strong arm
- Great hair
