We've got Matt Cassel news.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was back at practice but not doing much, according to multiple Twitter reports. Soren Petro tweets that Cassel was in sweats "doing very little". Kent Babb of the KC Star tweets a photo of Cassel standing next to Brodie Croyle, who is wearing the yellow quarterback jersey.

So this means....?

Todd Haley said this week that a player would have to practice in some form or fashion to be available on Sunday. Is this enough to qualify as a practice?

The Chiefs will declare on Friday afternoon whether Cassel is out, doubtful, questionable or probable. Listing him as doubtful would all but assure he's not playing on Sunday. Listing him as questionable would leave the door open.

If one NFL team physician's opinion means anything, Cassel won't be playing. Peter King of SI.com reports one team medic (not on the Chiefs we assume) told King it would be "sheer negligence" if Cassel plays on Sunday.
