The Kansas City Chiefs now start looking ahead to Week 10 for a trip to Denver to play the Broncos. The Broncos, 2-6, have lost four in a row and are in the midst of what appears to be a pretty miserable season. This is the first meeting of the season between the two teams this year which is a little later than usual.

For a quick overview of the Broncos, here's a look at the Broncos midseason awards from Mile High Report.

MVP: K Matt Prater

Biggest surprise: WR Brandon Lloyd

Most disappointing player: Offensive line

Best offseason move: DL Jamal Williams and Kevin Vickerson

Worst offseason move: Trading RB Peyton Hillis

WR Brandon Lloyd is on pace for a ridiculous season with 878 yards receiving already and apparently Jamal Williams was a good pickup. By the way, is it a good thing or a bad thing that your kicker is the MVP?

Like any good fan base, Broncos fans at Mile High Report are looking on the bright side of things.

The first half of the season has been rocky for the Broncos, but the only direction they have to go now is up. They are getting healthy, and they face a favorable 2nd half schedule. With the AFC West as muddled as it is right now, the season is far from lost.

With three teams ahead of the Broncos you can't realistically expect them to make any noise in the AFC West.

Make sure you're checking out Mile High Report this week. They're one of the most active blogs on SB Nation so it should be a good week getting to know the opponent.
